Principles to Live By

Going through life, I have come to realise that it is most apt to build our lives around our principles rather than around the circumstances we find ourselves. I believe that we are not a product of our circumstances as our circumstance only helps to reveal us for who we truly are. Circumstances, which some would refer to as reality, is never static; they can and do change. Does that mean we would keep changing to suit the circumstances per time? Then who are we? What is our identity? Brand experts who say, “What is your brand?” What are you known for?

I avoid the blame game. I take responsibility. I am dependable in pursuit of the common good. Integrity and accountability are also my drivers. As I was taught in Port Harcourt Primary School…I Hold High my Torch! And as my Bible instructs…I treat others as I would like them to treat me…firm, principled and empathic.

So many complaints everyday about everything and everyone. What principles drive you and how do you apply it in addressing the situation in your immediate vicinity which by default would affect our nation, Nigeria?

I look forward to hearing from you. Let’s share our thoughts.
