Let’s Treat Artisans Right

How we treat our artisans speak volumes about us. Someone said to me “My dear I no fit get to my electrician level naau!” Hmmm, I thought to myself “What could be her electrician’s level?” A person that can connect two wrong wires and ruin you forever but rather chose to ensure your safety. That’s an honorable person. 

I am always amazed when people look down on artisans and their support staff. You have a house-help taking care of your children and making food etc for your household. When going out you lock your bedroom because you ‘don’t trust the help’. However you trust them with your offspring. You also allow them make and serve your entire household their meals! You treat them as though they are worth nothing. What’s more important in this life than your offspring? Has it ever occurred to us that artisans and support staff are very critical? Do we realize that one simple “error” from them and we would be ruined? But they don’t follow that route. I have come to the conclusion that they are just blessed souls. They may not be as ‘educated and fortunate’ but the same God created them and has given them the grace to excel in their role. Let’s respect them. But could it be we feel inferior to them and therefore just lash out as a cover? 

A clean vessel doesn’t emit filthy water. 

Reality is a simple check so let’s sit down and talk with our Ego. We could do better, I’m sure.
