Leadership

Leaders Current Vs Future

I’m just 🤔🤔🤔 about our leaders and how we are planning to pass on the baton of leadership

University lecturers are on strike…that means they are not teaching students in the school they are employed to teach

The students are at home, while their mates in private universities in the country as well as other countries are studying

The lecturers say it’s because government is owing them somethings

Government is working. The EXCO of the Universities lecturers are working. Both are in negotiations.

The other lecturers are engaged in other runs.

The days have turned to weeks to months and still counting…

Are the students not the losers here? What wrong did they do to deserve this? Shouldn’t the lecturers and government being the current leaders be more considerate of the students who are our future leaders?

This is a thoughtful post Osila. It’s often said that when two elephants are in a bout it’s the grasses that suffers, this phrase aptly describes the predicament of a student in a government owned tertiary institution in Nigeria, While the muscle flexing goes on amongst the powerful players the future of these students is what is being toiled with, their time which is very valuable is being stolen in broad day light. I hope one day soon this would be a thing of the past.
