Hey! What’s the Attitude?

What is our attitude towards the happenstance life throws at us?

I often remember the story told about the raw crayfish, raw egg and molecules of coffee. Each was put in water and brought to boiling point. When the container was opened…the crayfish had coiled up “na condition make crayfish bend” (remember that phrase?), the egg had hardened within it’s shell while the coffee had mixed with the water and taken over the colour and aroma of the water.

So it is with each and everyone of us. What do we turn into when the pressure of life has its toll on us? Do we change to suit the dictates of the moment (crayfish)? Do we become hardened and shut out ourselves from the happenings around us (egg)? Or do we create the preferred atmosphere we desire and cause our environment to take on our fragrance (coffee)?

I believe that in our space and world (areas within our influence and control) we can make a difference if we choose the right attitude; a positive attitude. We could also decide not to. It all boils down to us.

Let us remember that we were each created in the likeness and image of God and He pronounced us, His creation “good” and the entire world is waiting in ernest expectations for our manifestation. So come on and let us put on an attitude that would change our world to reflect the good that we are.
