Grateful for Each Day
I wake up at about 3:45am and I just know it…sleep is over. Aaah! Why naau? But I say wait a minute Osila, you are awake! You are alive! And remember that it is God that alots sleep to each of us according to the need He knows we have. So I say fine! Many thanks Father. What do I do between then and 6am when I go have my morning devotion with my family and then head out for my walk? Read your Bible, your mails, check WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn…its 6:03am already! To get my son out of bed is enough wahala of its own. We get to pray then I walk. Wow! No food at home and I have a package to pick up…off to the shops then Rotary Meeting beckons and I am back. Cook some delicious soups (and to think my younger sister and kid brother believe I can’t cook)…the day is gone.
But within that space of time, without my paying attention, God has been on my matter. No accidents. No mishap. Food to eat. Water to drink. Roof over my head. Able to communicate with family and friends…so they are all winning in the affairs of life. It is only an overcomer/winner that is able to look back and be able to give an assessment of good or bad outcome.
In all things we give God thanks for He knows our needs and has only good thoughts towards us. His promise of His abiding presence is Yes & Amen!
Its really important to have a thankful disposition always.
